The variable selection of hand positions and seat adjustment enables the user to provide a method of progressive overload to the pectoral, anterior shoulder, serratus anterior, triceps and long head of biceps muscles as well as the shoulder girdle stabilisers. The foot pedal acts to prevent overloading of the gleno-humeral and acromio-clavicular joints when restrictions exist in these joints or when a dysfunction in the shoulder girdle bio-mechanics exists.
